Come visit us on Friday and Saturday (the weekend before Halloween) between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. for some scary fun at the courthouse!
The ground floor is open for the smaller children between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. while the upper floors are a little more on the haunted side!
Admission: $5.00 per person at the door to help maintain the Courthouse Museum

Our annual Christmas Event, featuring Santa Claus and the Grinch. Activities include a hayride, real reindeer, and other fun events.
This is a very enjoyable event for adults and children alike! There is no cost to attend and activities will be hosted both inside and outside the 1885 Courthouse, located in downtown Charlotte.

Conducted by Motor City Ghost Hunters 7 pm to 11 pm.
The Courthouse opens once a year for an annual evening ghost hunt! The hunt begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 and must be purchased in advance. Limited quantities are available.

Annual Golf Outing
Note: This event has been canceled for 2021. A summer annual tradition at Courthouse Square is the July Golf Outing Fundraiser. Centennial Acres has hosted us for over 15 years, and we will be delighted to be there again this year.
As usual, our shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m. following registration at 7:45 a.m. Prizes, 50/50 drawing, great food, terrific friends and FABULOUS weather (hopefully) are all on the agenda.
The eighteen-hole outing benefits our Museum at Courthouse Square. Foursome is $300 or $75 each.

History Camp
Eaton County’s Museum at Courthouse Square will host its History Day Camp the first full week in August for children ages 6-18. Using a real hands-on approach, campers will travel to different areas of the county to learn about local history.
History Day Camp highlights from past years included making Shaker boxes (yes, real cherry wood boxes, no macaroni frames here!), visiting the Welch Museum in Sunfield, a Civil War Clothing Company, and canoeing in Eaton Rapids!
